We are advocating for the government to exempt drilling and service rig contractors from 2-11 Work Schedules, 2-12 Overtime hours not to be required, and 2-13 Required period of rest of the Saskatchewan Employment Standards Act and instead permit drilling and service rig contractors to work up to 16 hours/day and apply overtime for work after 10 hours (service rigs) and 12 hours (drilling rigs). We are advocating for the government to exempt drilling and service rig contractors from 2-60 Notice required, 2-61 Payments in case of layoffs or terminations, and 2-62 Notice of group termination of the Saskatchewan Employment Standards Act.
